Patriot Guard Riders Mission Statement

The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.

We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.

Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives.

  • 1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
  • 2. Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protester or group of protesters.

We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.

To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.

GOTG 2010 Web Site
Hey, the site for the Gathering of The Guard is up and running!  Please go to www.2010GOTG.ORG and register as a member there.  There are no requirements to membership, and you will have access to information about the most exciting happening of the year, taking place in September in Killeen, Texas.  What is happening at the 2010 GOTG?
For three days enjoy live bands, guided rides, the Traveling Wall, the Texas Liberty Bell and a host of other special events.  A town hall meeting is planned, with a chance for you to visit with the National Patriot Guard Riders leadership about issues important to you.  Also, see a demonstration of teamwork and horseback riding skills by a team from one of only seven (7) horse cavalry units in the United States. There will also be free food and drinks at designated times by our partners or sponsors, and the brother and sister-hood that can only come from having an interest in something as gripping and powerful as our respect for those who stand for us.  Tell your friends to plan on going with you to the 2010 Gathering Of The Guard at the Civic Center in Killeen, Texas - just down the road a piece from Ft. Hood, home of the First Cavalry Division, U.S. Army.
All this and much more on September 8th through the 12th in the Civic Center, Killeen, Texas ... just about halfway between Waco and Austin.  See you there!!

On behalf of the leadership team of the Texas Patriot Guard Riders, and the national Gathering of the Guard team for 2010, Mary "Marebear" Gregory, Chair.
