Confirmed mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for LaMarquis Jerrell Thomas. Mr. Thomas entered the US Army in 2009 and served 4.5 years. He earned the National Defense Service and Global War on Terror service medals.

Date/Time: Tuesday, 14 January 2020. Funeral service starts at 10 am.

Location: Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4301 Tannehill Ln, Austin, TX 78721. We will stage at the church.

8:50 - 9:20 am - Staging
9:20 am - Briefing
9:30 am - Flag line

Wx: High 75 deg, mostly cloudy

Notes: Be advised there is significant road construction in this area. Allow a few extra minutes to get to the church. Following the start of the funeral service we will strike the flag line and depart quietly.

On a foggy, misty, dreary morning, 7 members stood a flag line for Mr. Thomas & his family & friends. Many stopped to personally thank us for honoring their loved one with such a patriotic jester. Thanks to all that attended & to Don for staging flags ahead of time. Walt was our lone rider.
