Confirmed mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for LCpl James L. Martinsen. LCpl Martinsen served in the US Marine Corps Reserves for six years, enlisting right out of high school. His death occurred five weeks after his honorable discharge.

Date/Time: Tuesday, 01 October 2019. Funeral service begins at 2 pm.

Location: Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, 604 TX-95, Elgin, TX 78621. We will stage at the funeral home.

Wx: 95 deg F, mostly sunny.

Notes: Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. This mission is a flag line only at the funeral home. After the start of the funeral service we will strike the flag line and depart quietly.

Six bikes and thirteen Patriots attended the mission for LCpl Martinsen. Because of the funeral home layout, we posted flags at two entrances. Service was well attended, with standing room only in the chapel and as expected, mostly young people. When the service started, we silently departed.
