The family of Mr. Elgin Lewis Dodd has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them in celebrating Lewis's life. Lewis was a PGR in the early days of our organization, riding out of Fred on his Gold Wring to missions in the Austin and San Antonio regions.

Lewis passed away on May 27, 2019. His family has organized a memorial service and luncheon in Fredericksburg on Saturday, August 17 from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for a final farewell before his private ash scattering ceremony takes place with family members at a later time.

This is not a PGR mission. Lewis's family knows how much his participation in the PGR meant to him and have invited us to join them in remembering him.

This from Austin ride captain John "TC" Wiley regarding Lewis: We did several Missions in San Antonio and elsewhere together. We would meet in Johnson City at the DQ and head out from there, usually around 4 or 5 am to make stagings in SA and beyond. A very dedicated and good man, and proud to be in the PGR.

Date/Time: Saturday, 17 August 2019. The event begins at 10:30 am and ends at 3:00 pm.

Location: Pioneer Museum, 325 W Main St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.

Notes: Guests can park on the public street or in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church parking lot adjacent to the museum. We do not currently have an Austin staging for this event, so pick your favorite back roads route to Fred and ride out to honor our brother Lewis Dodd.
