Confirmed mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for Andrew J Smolen, III. Mr. Smolen served in the US Army for four years, leaving the service as Specialist E-4. He also served his community as a deputy with the Caldwell County Constable's Office.

Date/Time: Saturday, 22 September 2018. Funeral service is at 1 pm.

Location: First Baptist Church of Georgetown, 1333 W University Ave, Georgetown, TX 78628. We will stage at the church.

Timeline:
11:50 am - 12:25 pm - Staging
12:25 pm - Briefing
12:30 pm - Flag line

Wx: 81 deg F, thunderstorms likely. Chance of rain 90%.

Notes: Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. Cage it if weather indicates. Be aware that there is a visitation prior to the start of the service; friends and family will be arriving during our staging period. This is a flag line only at the church. After the start of the service we will strike the flag line and depart quietly.

Thanks to the 12 PGR Riders who attended the mission, especially two for their second mission of the day. Good turn out on an iffy day. The family thanked us for our presence. It was good to see Paige back on the flag line.
