Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral and burial service for Mr. Rueben J Sladek. Mr. Sladek served over four years in the US Navy and is a Vietnam veteran. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Machinists Mate Third Class.

Date/Time: Friday, 04 August 2017. Funeral service scheduled for 10:30 am.

Location: Trinity Lutheran Church, 3505 N. Main, Taylor, Texas 76574. We will stage at the church.

Notes: Stay hydrated! Bring two bottles of water for yourself and one for a friend. After the start of the funeral service we will strike the flag line and standby to join the law enforcement escorted procession to the nearby Taylor City Cemetery, where we will form a second flag line for the burial ceremony.

12 bikes and 2 cages showed up to honor PO3 Sladek in Taylor. Family was appreciative and Taylor Police did an outstanding job. Logistics at the church was a little tricky just because of the design but in consultation with RC Longacre, we managed an acceptable flag line. Many people, including the Navy Honor Guard, came through the flag line and shook our hands and thanked us for doing what we do.
