MSG Marvin Lee Morriss, 71, US Army/Army National Guard (Ret), Vietnam Veteran, Austin, TX, 28 JUL 2

Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral and burial service for MSG Marvin Lee Morriss. Sergeant Morriss served in the US Army from 1964 to 1968 including in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged from the Army he enlisted in the National Guard at Camp Mabry, Austin, TX. He retired from the National Guard in 2005 at the rank of Master Sergeant.

Date/Time: Friday, 28 July 2017. Funeral Service begins at 10:00 am

Location: Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. We will stage at the funeral home.

Notes: Stay hydrated! Bring two bottles of water for yourself and one for a friend. After the start of the funeral service we will strike the flag line and stand by to join the 1.7 mile LEO escorted procession to the Cook Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery where we will form a second flag line for the burial portion. Mission Summary
Six Patriot Guard Riders participated in the flag line at funeral Home. Four riders rode in procession behind the lead car to the cemetery. Thanks to Round Rock PD for providing LEO's to protect the procession. The family of MSG Marvin Morriss were so nice and so appreciative the PGR was there to, in his daughter Nancy's words, " I am so thankful for this! Thank you so much. This is such an honor for my family and I to have you all a part of his final mile... Beyond measure, I'm thankful for you all...
